Published on March 6th, 2010

Generally you find me gushing over the latest and greatest from Apple, but this demo for Microsoft’s mystery tablet device really struck me. Being a creative I have ideas hit me all the time and to be able to document and execute an idea similarly like how this device showcases could be priceless.

TED: “Sixth Sense” – Wearable Technology
Published on March 15th, 2009

From the labs at MIT and innovators Pattie Maes and Pranav Mistry, comes “Sixth Sense”. This is a multi-unit device you wear that interacts with your surrounding environment. There is a camera that captures visual data, a mirror and projector that displays data and a phone that collects and transmits the data. Very Minority Report! Check out the video here.

President Barack Obama – Whitehouse.gov
Published on January 20th, 2009

Barack Obama - WhiteHouse.GOV

I am admittedly a dork when it comes to technology. I use to spend countless hours tearing apart my PC in 5th grade and putting it back together. Nowadays most of my time is spent browsing the internet on my iPhone and reading up on recent technology gadgets through blogs.

Prior to today I have felt that technology has not played much of a roll in our government. Information has always been obtained through third-party news corporations and from the mouths of commentators; not necessarily from the mouths of those we the tax payers and citizens have elected. Because of that I have felt completely disconnected from what has gone on in the White House and it’s administration.

Today all that changes. Barack Obama has redesigned, and has made it a priority to connect to the citizens of the United States and people of the world, via www.WhiteHouse.gov.

You may or may have not voted for our 44th President but I for one am glad that this administration is willing to accept and embrace technology as the future and adapt by providing a frequently updated website with blogs, videos, photos and articles. I think this will provide a way for us to track President Obama and what he is doing to really see what his hope and change is all about.
