oh yeah, p.s. the “Blackhole” LP ( recorded over Christmas in 2005 ) is also back from the mastering plant. I f’n love this thing. It took 4 years to make it and to me it is basically Love is Hell Part 3… lots of shimmery guitar love on this. Exciting times!!!

Umm, that makes me insanely happy – Love Is Hell is one of my favorite albums of his. It’s kind of like his Kid A, brilliant stuff. I’ve missed some good Ryan Adams tunes for awhile now.

After having looked at every single photograph in Laurie Bartley’s portfolio I was left speechless. I am constantly surfing the web looking for new fashion photographers, or at least new to me, looking for inspiration. Laurie is able to take a natural looking scene, for instance like the featured photograph above taken place at a grocery store, and make it look so much cooler then what it is.

There is a cinematic quality to the photographs that feels like each photo is a still from a movie. Bartley has the ability to light a scene so naturally that the ambience is not lost but the subject still pops out of the scene. Brilliant work. Check out: http://www.lauriebartley.com/

I cannot wait until Mad Men season 3 comes out to DVD – they’ve been sitting in my Netflix queue now for a few weeks. Speaking of Mad Men I’d like to share with you the photography work of Andy Ryan.

I cannot for the life of me remember how I stumbled across his beautiful work but his work with the cast of Mad Men is amazing! The shot pictured above is one of my favorites of the series.

Generally you find me gushing over the latest and greatest from Apple, but this demo for Microsoft’s mystery tablet device really struck me. Being a creative I have ideas hit me all the time and to be able to document and execute an idea similarly like how this device showcases could be priceless.

Right now the device is just a concept, lets see if Microsoft can execute. Meanwhile Apple is already producing.

I’ve been listening to Doves for so long and I never knew that the lead singer played bass for the band… after watching this live video of my favorite song of theirs “Snowden”, I love them even more (which I didn’t think could be possible).
