The Whiskey Priest – Short Film Art
Published on July 26th, 2010 - Filed under PRINT

The Whiskey Priest, a short film by friend Thomas Rennier. The film is a period piece that takes place in 1930′s Mexico. Stunning cinematography and intriguing script watch the trailer here: The Whiskey Priest trailer and catch a screening. Designing the art for the film was pretty easy when you have great visuals to work with. Minimalistic but staying true to the period and feel of the movie I was very happy with how it turned out!

The Federalists Album Artwork

One of my best friends, Luke Franks, came to me to design his band, The Federalists, sophomore album. Their angle was a more radio-friendly feel and wanted to show a lot of energy and a more modern element compared to their first LP, which I designed, that was a little more on the country side, visually.

Staggerford EP Album Design
Published on February 28th, 2010 - Filed under PRINT

Right after I finished designing Jeremy Larson’s second album cover I got a call from a local Nebraska band Staggerford. They happen to of came across my work through Jeremy’s first album cover design and hired me to do their first EP.

At the time I was on a ‘colorful’ kick. This is rare because I usually lean toward a more monotone color scheme. Having seen this album as a package I am very happy with the continuity through out the album.

Jeremy Larson – Salvation Club – Album Artwork
Published on February 28th, 2010 - Filed under PRINT

Have you ever seen a sound wave on an audio program? OK, have you watched the movie Punch Drunk Love? Mix the two together and you get the inspiration for Jeremy Larson‘s sophomore album, Salvation Club.

I had initially drew up a concept for the album cover that I was pretty happy with, after talking it over with Jeremy we felt that it didn’t fit. So late one Friday night I decided to watch Punch Drunk Love after having not seen it for so long. Ironically and unbeknownst to me  PDL was a favorite movie of Jeremy’s. The outcome was this, and Jeremy and I both were very happy with how it came out and found it very fitting!

Jeremy Larson Album Cover Art
Published on February 28th, 2010 - Filed under PRINT

Album art work for singer / songwriter Jeremy Larson. The inspiration for this, outside his music, for me was an old psychology textbook for the 1960′s. This is probably one of my most satisfying print piece.
